Hello everyone, who is reading my blog, I am finally here. I have
been wanting to put my thoughts and experiences on paper writing for a long
time (In my case now it is blog). I would always wanted to do it the
old-fashioned way, with a personalized journal/Diary with some fancy stickers, but the
lazy guy in me asked, "Who will go to the printing press and spend money
and time, then maintain the diary?" Nonetheless, despite all the negative
thoughts, I am here and have begun writing and exploring world π
So this thought started when I was 12-14 years old, my dad and mom
was in long distance relationship (Ok-OK donβt get wrong thought) My dad was in
Indian army and use to travel and move one place to another. After retirement,
my father started a business in Mumbai, and we (me, mom, my younger brother,
and sister) moved to Nashik to continue our studies. Because Mumbai means money and money means money, which didn't belong to us back then.
I spent my teen age travelling and I think that I had covered more
than 15-20k kilometres. (Thoda 19-20 Chalta hai) Let's do some math: we used to go up and down to
Mumbai-Nashik once a week or twice a week to see my father, and once every six
months to Jammu and Kashmir. Oh, this reminds me that I am from Jammu and
Kashmir. Isn't that romantic? You might be assuming that I was playing with
snow balls, seeing beautiful couples, or filming a Sharukh Khan film, but here
is the surprise, my home is only 2-3 kilometres from the India-Pakistan border,
thus I grew up watching and hearing gunshots, small missiles, and army marches
pass. And trust me folks If I have would have been got this thought/idea in my teen
age I would have complete at least the India. π
I think I am getting digressed from the topic. So, let's get back
to the topic. I am going to travel around the world and visit each railway
station, after which I will give some interesting facts and, of course, the
journey's beautiful experience. This tour will enable me to see every corner of the world, and I am aware that this will not be an easy journey; it may take many years. Let's see how quickly I can accomplish my journey. Hopefully, I will be able to finish before I die.π
I intended to begin in India, but due to the Pandemic chaos, all
of my plans have been put on hold. Then, without losing hope, I decided to
begin with Malaysia. Oh, my goodness. I forgot something again, and my wife is absolutely
correct: I am terrible at remembering stuff. So, right now, I'm in Malaysia
with my beautiful wife and mischievous son, working a typical 9-to-6 job. βSo
Jaise ki hamare bade bude keh gaye hai Jaha Chaha Waha Raha ( In English; where there's a will, there's a way.). I'm starting my journey "World by Train" from Malaysia,
and I'm looking for your help and encouragement. See you on the next page and
station.
